WORK WITH ME

I'm Dr Emily Amos — GP, Speaker and Mindfulness Educator

If you've landed here then chances are you have a busy mind and you struggle to switch off and rest. Busy, stressed minds are my speciality. I help high-achievers build sustainable wellbeing through evidence-based mindfulness, lifestyle medicine and self-compassion.

Every day YOU are paying this price with your time, energy & health.

Let me help you to build a life by DESIGN rather than DEFAULT.

The daily cost of living unmindfully is huge.

Every day you are paying this price with your time, energy and health.

Let me help you to build a life by design, rather than default.

Professional Speaking

A talk that stays in the room
long after you've left it.

Keynotes · Workshops · Facilitated conversations

You already know you should be less stressed. You've probably read the articles. Maybe the book.

And yet... the mind still won't switch off at 11pm. The to-do list still wins. Something that felt manageable this morning is somehow impossible by 3pm.

That gap, between knowing and actually being able to change, is exactly what I talk about. Not with a framework, not with tips you'll forget by Tuesday. In a way that makes something actually shift, where people leave understanding themselves a little better and knowing what to do next.

I'm a GP and a meditation teacher. I've spent twenty years in rooms with driven, capable people quietly running themselves into the ground, while knowing every tool that was supposed to help. I know that gap from the inside. That's what I bring.

About Emily

I became a GP.
Then I kept going.

I became a doctor because I cared about people. What I didn't anticipate was spending twenty years helping everyone else while quietly running myself into the ground.

Burning out, as a GP, as someone whose whole professional life was built around helping others manage exactly this, was humbling in a way I didn't have a clinical framework for. But burnout doesn't mean the end. For me, it turned out to be the very beginning.

What I found on the other side wasn't a five-step plan. It was a different understanding of what health actually means... and why knowing what you should do and actually being able to do it are, for most of us, worlds apart.

That gap is what I work in now. On stages, in consulting rooms, online, and in retreats for doctors who are just as stuck as everyone else. The thread through all of it is the same: helping people feel more whole.

I'm based in Melbourne. I'd love to be in the room with you.

I get it

I know what it feels like
to run on empty.

I spent years as a GP, university tutor and small business owner — helping others manage their stress while quietly ignoring my own. I knew exactly what I needed to do. The gap between knowing and actually doing it finally caught up with me.

Burning out was the reset I didn't know I needed. It forced me to take everything I had spent two decades learning — mindfulness, meditation, lifestyle medicine, breathwork — and actually live it. Now I teach those same tools to the people who need them most.

"Burnout doesn't mean the end. For me, it turned out to be the very beginning."

Dr Emily Amos
Emily brought such a grounded, compassionate presence to our event. Her ability to weave together clinical expertise with real, human experience made her talk incredibly powerful. The feedback from our audience was overwhelmingly positive, many described it as exactly what they needed to hear. She is a gifted communicator and a pleasure to collaborate with.
